WHY JOIN EOS?

EOS can give added value to the national federations by:

• Informing its members on a regular basis about European and international developments which are important for the sector such as international, environmental and social legislation, standardisation, raw material supply, market trends and evolutions, CE-marking, etc.;
• Representing and defending the interests of its members in a large number of institutions, organisations and authorities at a European and international level;
• Giving a voice to the national federations within the European decision-making process;
• Providing a forum for discussions and consultations with colleagues and competitors at meetings and congresses.

WHO CAN JOIN EOS?

The organisation consists of national sawmilling federations, which represent the interests of one or more sectors of the European primary timber processing industry. In absence of a national federation, a company or regional association from the sector may become a member. The members can be private or legal persons, constituted according to the law and custom of their home country.

HOW TO JOIN EOS?

Any request for admission should be addressed in writing to the President of the Association and are submitted to the following General Assembly for acceptance.
