Since 2015 Mr. Sampsa J. Auvinen is the President of the European Organization of the Sawmill Industry (EOS). On 21 June 2017, Mr Auvinen has been re-elected as EOS President. He is the CEO of Norvik Timber Industries since 2009 and since 2016, he is also a Board member of Bergs Timber (publ). In the past 15 years he has been working in various positions in the timber industry in Finland, Russia and the United Kingdom. He joined Norvik Timber Industries from Pöyry Forest Industry Consulting where he was a Senior Consultant, heading the wood products consulting team in Russia. He is married and has 3 children. When not working he enjoys jogging, skiing and ice swimming.
