Products

The sawmill industry makes and markets products with a small carbon footprint,
from raw material procured from sustainably managed forests.

Its customers include the construction, furniture, packaging and joinery industries, timber retailers and DIY businesses. In addition, sawmills produce high-quality wood chips for the pulp industry.

The by-products of sawmills, bark and sawdust, are mainly used in energy production.
Some of the sawdust is used to manufacture chip-and fibreboard and pulp.

Typical products manufactured from sawn timber are interior panelling and exterior cladding, load-bearing columns and beams for buildings, glulam, impregnated and heat-treated timber, transport pallets and other wooden packaging, furniture, windows and doors and other joinery products.
